Moving Image & Creative Content Specialist (Manchester)
We’re on the lookout for a new Moving Image & Creative Content Specialist to join our Manchester team.
What you will be doing
Reporting to the Creative Directors you will be responsible for creating short form video content – from filming footage through to full offline, online, grading for BJL and its clients across various mediums – Including:
- Website content
- Social content
- Digital OOH
- Behind the scenes films
- Brand Films
- Pitch Films
- Broadcast Films
- Event Film
Working with both the Manchester and London offices, on National and International accounts, you will be the central point of contact for all video requirements and prospective briefs, effectively managing internal resource and planning of projects from brief to deployment.
Collaborating with the agency creatives, designers, digital team, social & PR and account handlers.
Responsible for directing, shooting, editing and motion graphics.
Contributing to projects in the conceptual and developmental stages of production.
Mentoring junior team members.
As well as directing projects, in some cases, you will also be required to self produce yours and others in the team outputs.
Accurately quote and budget job required to fulfill briefs.
What you will need
3-5 years production experience (some ad agency experience preferable but not mandatory).
Excellent production skills and portfolio/showreel.
Great interpersonal skills. As the central point of contact for video you will be working with all types of people in various job roles.
Organisation skills which will be required when managing the work flow of various forms of production output.
Solid understanding of film making, composition, editing, motion graphics and sound engineering.
Great knowledge of lighting and shooting in many various environments (Studio, Location, External).
Very experienced in all forms of cameras (Canon c300, Canon DSLR, Sony A7s, Sony fs700).
Skilled in Motion Graphics.
Proficiency in the full adobe suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Editing techniques and technical know how including software, formats, codecs, frame rates and aspect ratios. Which will be required when outputting to formats such as TV, Digital Outdoor and online.
Fantastic knowledge of social media and best practice for each medium.
Passion for film making and a mental reference bank of various methods of treating productions.
Forward thinking when considering emerging technologies and trends. (360 video, VR, Personalised Video, Facebook Live).
A book of freelance contacts for crewing up jobs and freelancing out work when applicable.
Proficient in hardware maintenance and repair.
Colour grading process and theory.
Experience of automotive and FMCG preferable but not mandatory.
